Being a history student for many years in high school I was able to learn from the weaknesses and strengths of all the history teachers.
From the boring PowerPoint presentations about the intricacies of WW1 to the inspiring and sometimes hilarious debates about the most unremarkable moments of history, I have learnt what works in a history lesson and what is needed to further ways of analysing, researching and writing.
One of the main lessons I learned when studying history for 8 years is that it's not all memorizing dates and causes or consequences of events that matter, it's how you transform that knowledge to build your argument. This is an important lesson in your ordinary life as well when you have to defend what you believe in and also question your choices.
I was a tutor in my last years of school and really enjoyed talking to and helping those who may not share my passion for this subject.
If you are finding studying history difficult or have an interest but your passion doesn't reflect your grades, you just need that extra push and guidance which is why I am offering my time and knowledge.
