Learning with me allows you to think outside the box and from so many angles. I've taught many of my classmates in the past and they all heavily appreciated my insight and explanations to various complex topics ranging from grammatical rules regarding clauses in English, to derivatives and integrals in Math; no classmate who sought my help has ever left feeling stuck and perplexed.
I do not give lectures, but I read stories. I love to bring up crazy analogies from things that me and the person I'm teaching both have knowledge of, and it makes them think for a bit to understand the connection - but once they do, they make a dozen other connections to various ideas that end up relieving them with a huge "Aha!!"
My main objective is to help the student learn to form their own unique mental image of the concept they're learning. Lets take algebra for example: I personally like to think of it as moving pieces of puzzle around the sides of the equal sign. My friend however, thinks of it in a very systematic way, like he has to turn every cog in the right direction before making sense of the new equation. Neither approach is wrong, but I would personally have a very troubling time solving even basic algebra questions with my friend's imagery. That's why I want the you, the student, to form your own unique way of looking at it, and sharing it with me to see if it's logically consistent and coherent. I do enjoy creating pieces of media like thumbnails, diagrams and short videos from scratch; so I will definitely utilize high quality media and external sources to help the visualization process.
Aside from that, I believe that there's a unique approach to past papers, that would allow for giant leaps of progress between just a few papers' worth of practice - and the rest is up to some extra revision and fine tuning. I'm super excited to share my approaches with my prospective students, and watch their learning rates go up exponentially in just a handful of weeks.
