I have tutored secondary school aged students in maths, English, History, politics and PE. I always aim to make my sessions interactive and engaging.

The way I structure my lessons is highly dependent on both the aspirations of the student, and how close they are to their exams: a year 11 student will need to look more at past papers and mark schemes, whereas a year 7 student will need help with creating the foundations for a strong historian!

I will outline a typical session, but as said above, each plan will be student led so no two lessons will look the same. We will start by assessing which areas you feel most comfortable with, and which need a bit more work! I will ask you some questions on how you revise/ study and give you some tips on what works well for me. Sessions will be interactive, looking at past paper questions and I am more than happy to read essays you have done in class.
After this I may set work to be completed for our next session.
