Hello! I'm excited to get to know who you are, your learning style, and your personal goals. All my lesson plans are developed specifically for each individual based on purpose and strengths. Purpose determines the goal of our sessions (studying for GSCEs, comprehension of a specific text, speaking or writing skills, etc.) and strengths determines the style of tutoring (for instance, a visual learner's lessons would include graphics and video content). I'll NEVER lecture for hours on end--not only is it boring, but it prevents you from forming any enthusiasm for or connection with the material. Instead, we will start with what YOU find engaging about your learning subject, and work from that point. This style of tutoring is effective because it's both personal and flexible--it's designed to grow and adapt as your learning progresses. My goal with every student is to help them find agency within their own learning and feel motivated through their own abilities. I always encourage students to speak up immediately if something isn't working for them--my ego won't be bruised if we have to readjust. Lastly, I always aim for my lessons to be fun! Learning outcomes will always be suboptimal if the lessons themselves aren't enjoyable, and there's so much joy to be found in education that works with and for you. You've already got the intelligence and capacity for development, and my job is to facilitate that development for you. I look forward to meeting you and smashing whatever goals you may have together!
