I would know about the students’ understanding on Chinese language, their ages and purposes firstly. For example, I will formulate different learning programs according to the purposes of interests, beginning or the examination. Therefore, various teaching ways are used to adapt to different students, and my teaching contents are tailored for students. Concerning the students needing to take A-level examination, I would firstly check his homework and let him talk about his difficulties, then I would explain the textbook. For example, there are some difficulties on the reading comprehension, I would help him understand the text and vocabulary, guide to complete some of the questions, find the similar questions for practice, explain and practice at the same time until he can think independently and know the cause of the error.
Concerning the starting students, I have many methods to let the Chinese learning simple and interesting, and it can help the students remember the vocabulary and knowledge point greatly. I would take the example to help the students increase the vocabulary quickly, including the listening, speaking and writing.
Concerning the students wanting to increase the interests and broaden the knowledge, I will let the students be interested in the Chinese learning rapidly for I was a liberal art student in the high school and history is my compulsory course, therefore, I am familiar with the history of China from the ancient times to the present and I have been reading various historical books at the usual time. Moreover, I would design the interesting topics, so that they can not only learn the Chinese, but also increase the knowledge. At the same time, I would provide a favorable Chinese learning environment for the students, try to exercise the students’ adaptability to Chinese with all Chinese, let them speak Chinese boldly, and lay a foundation for the continuous learning of Chinese in the future.
The students at different ages with different Chinese knowledge and learning purposes are welcomed to join. At the same time, I would accept the students’ requirements humbly, and maximize to meet the students’ learning demands, such as learning resource, extracurricular knowledge and others.
