Working in a school has proved to be invaluable as it encouraged me to put my skills, knowledge, and abilities into practice. Teaching throughout the summer has given me the skills needed to create engaging and informative lessons, it taught me about classroom management moreover how to assess pupil progress. The role introduced me to numerous teaching methodologies that can be implemented in any classroom.
As a dynamic, committed yet pragmatic individual, I understand the impact of inspiring others through education. Thinking about my own experiences, I have developed a strong passion in computers over the years. I realised I had the desire to make a real difference in the world and I would like to be the epitome of change and progress in others’ lives. I want to bridge the gap for students who struggle with their education through computing and beyond. I’ve learned how important is to be able to think on your feet when things don’t go as planned, having the initiative to take alternative approaches to achieve the desired outcome.
I desire to learn and grow as a teacher and become better at teaching. I take great pleasure seeing students’ progress in their learning. I believe skills such as confidence, patience and resilience are important for all teachers to have. My experiences have allowed me to improve on time management, to be more organized and learn to collaborate with others to achieve results as a group. I want to thrive as a teacher and ensure that students have the best start in life allowing them to achieve their full potential.
