-Make the questions i ask to my students be open-ended, and have the students collaborate with each other to discover methods to find answers - spoon feeding information is only allowed at the very beginning. Frustrating students mildly is very OK; it makes the lessons learned more easily retained.
-Be creative in analogies, and praise creative thoughts, even if they are “incorrect.”
-Look for videos that give explanations in a different ways.
-Keep all communications as positive and respectful as possible; the occasional use of sarcasm is OK as long as it is not hurtful to our session.
- Make up memorable stories that allow students to recall the vocabulary and facts they need easier.
