Hi, I’m Maggie and I offer music theory tuition. Whether you’re taking ABRSM Theory examinations, studying for GCSE, A-Level, or degree, I can help out! I have a first-class degree in music from the University of Cambridge and am currently working as a professional musician.

I have an expert knowledge of music theory, and am able to explain complex ideas in digestible ways. I cater to the needs of individual pupils, focusing on the areas that they enjoy the most, whilst working on their problem areas. I am always encouraging, and my teaching can be very beneficial to students who might be struggling to keep up with classes at school.

My classes can be structured or free. If you have a clear goal in mind, such as achieving a Grade 5 Music Theory, I can help you pass quickly and confidently. If you have a curiosity, interest or passion for music, I can help you explore music in a deeper way, showing you how to use your knowledge of music to become a better player, composer or listener. If you’re looking to apply to study music at university, I can help with applications, including personal statement advice and interview coaching.
