My name is Magbo Christopher Ikenna a graduate Biochemistry from Madonna University Elele Campus, Rivers State, Nigeria.
I have taught chemistry and biology for Seven years in Nigeria were I reside.I have taught students in person, classroom.Basically during these years,I prepare my students for internal and external examinations.External examinations like NECO,WAEC and JAMB here in Nigeria.I teach my students using my lesson note that I must have prepared on a particular topic in the subject following a curriculum or on topics that might interest the student that is for private tutoring only.In my lesson not I have the date,class, topic,aim and objective, possible questions from student,body, assignment and conclusion.The lesson serves as a guide to me and also helps me in evaluating the my students performance.I also indicate in my lesson the areas I will be teaching in the laboratory because I also taught my basic chemistry and biology practicals.
Currently I manage and own a retail chemical shop were I also teach my customers/students how chemicals can be combined to produce most of our home use products.Most of the products like liquid soap,soda soap,bleach,tile wash, Vaseline, sanitizers and disinfectants.These products production makes students appreciate science and also have a better understanding of chemical reactions.During the course of my teaching I tell my students that science subjects like chemistry and biology are not abstract but later has practical application in our day to day life and most of the products we use are as a result of chemical reactions.My students enjoy my class.
