Hi! I am a History and Spanish joint honours student at University College London (UCL). I have always enjoyed learning languages as they allow you to connect with people and cultures around the world and I would love to support someone else in their language journey. At the moment I am on my year abroad in Granada, Spain, studying at the University of Granada. My experience of Spanish here is very different to my school experience, which is why in my lessons I like to incorporate material outside of the exam specimen so that learning is not solely ticking off required boxes, but allows a greater understanding of the language itself. In my Spanish lessons I also like to place a focus on the basics of the language as I have always felt that this enables you to grasp the higher level of the language with more ease. Classes would centre around what you find holds you back in your Spanish progression, and will aim to turn these weaknesses into strengths. My classes are as interactive as possible, with a lot of speaking practice to reinforce what has been taught. They also focus on the application of the language, so that rather than simply memorising words, they become a part of your vocabulary.
