I’ve been teaching English for more than 5 years and met different students with different ways of learning the language. I always believe that learning by constantly practicing is the greatest method for them to learn fast. I also want them to enjoy and love what they are doing, so I often do some interactive activities that encourage them to speak and enjoy speaking. Showing visual pictures is also my way of teaching. Giving more opportunities to young learners to have more fun in the class through visual presentation. I only experienced teaching one-on- one lesson through Skype or company website. For every 25 minutes of lesson per student, I always make sure to utilize the time. I created a flow to have few minutes of introduction, getting to know each other and building rapport with my student. Then prepare a song or a game in order to spark up the motivation and interest of the student. Through the songs or games, I can lead them to our lesson. I design my lesson to be active and interactive. Before the end of the class, I give them an activity or follow up questions of what they have learned. One of the most important things that I will focus in the lesson is to achieve teaching the four macro skills in English, i.e. Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. With the use of the pictures, songs or games, I am pretty much sure that my students will both learn and enjoy in my class.
