I begin my lessons by asking my students what they would like to work on during the session. If they require help with their homework, I'll guide them through it at their own pace before offering a variety of methods to help solidify their knowledge. As a recently graduated GCSE student, I am familiar with an array of great websites that will help students reach their potential. For those students who need help with specific areas rather than homework, I like to start by giving them a basic worksheet to familiarise myself with their ability. Depending on how they score, I will take my lessons from there, helping them understand and gain confidence in the topics they were previously uneasy about. I aim to get to know my students well enough to provided personalised lessons based on the learning style that is most effective and enjoyable to them.
A NOTE ON PRICING:
Though my advert states that I charge £15 an hour, I am lucky enough to be in a situation where I can offer discounted lessons to less fortunate students. I understand the magnitude of this cost of living crisis, and believe that all students deserve equal opportunities regardless of their financial situation.
