I want to tutor students the way I wish I was tutored when I was in school. Learning is something that is unique to each student and it is not the one-size-fits-all approach that takes place in the classroom!

Many teachers and professors do not remember what it was like to start from scratch. As someone who does remember what that's like, I am compassionate to your struggle and want to help build your foundation of the sciences.

When I was a student, there were times that my questions were answered with complex monologues verbatim from a textbook, and it was not an environment in which I was able to learn effectively.

Learning is an active and engaged process, and I will provide immersive lessons and strive to make you an active participant.

I will start off with a basic diagnostic to get a sense of the level that you are on. From there, I will formulate an individualized lesson plan to focus on the topic(s) you struggle with the most. Example problems are the most effective learning strategy to reinforce the concepts that you will be tested on in the classroom. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free learning environment for any student either struggling with the topic or whoever wants to have a more solid foundation in the sciences.

I will give examples, pneumonic devices, metaphors and administer practice quizzes which is what helped me when I was in your shoes.

Biology is a subject that builds upon itself. My approach will provide you with the foundation so you can establish systematic relationships between each topic. This will facilitate understanding which will lead to learning.

My objective is to guide you through each of the puzzle pieces until you have a clear understanding. By personalizing the lesson plan, I will adapt my skillset to each student's needs. I would love to share my passion for not only science but learning with you, and help you excel inside and outside of the classroom!
