My name is Gaia and I am a translator and teacher of Italian as a foreign language.
I myself studied languages at university and fluently speak Russian and English, and I also know German quite well. If one of these is your mother tongue, the lesson for you will be even more comfortable and interesting, with materials and explanations directly in your language :)
I work online now, but for a while I worked in an Italian school in Kazakhstan, with students of all ages and levels. I love reading and travelling, getting to know new places, people, stories. And above all I love talking ;) In class we will do this together (not forgetting, of course, grammar, text comprehension etc....) Whatever you need and are interested in!
I have a degree in languages and translation (University of Trieste and Venice) and I have lived and worked in several countries. I have about two years of experience teaching Italian to foreigners. In addition to teaching online, I worked in a language school in Kazakhstan until March 2024. My students are mainly adults, but I also have experience with anglophone and russophone children and teenagers.
My lessons are always customised according to the needs of the student: I usually use worksheets and materials created by me or selected from several textbooks, but if you prefer we can study from one textbook (which I will send you). The materials and explanations are in your language of preference (Italian if the level allows it, Russian, English). My priority is to ensure a balance between the different language skills, alternating speaking to increase vocabulary and fluency with grammar, listening, reading and text comprehension (depending on your level, needs and interests).
