My typical Math and Science lessons are very interactive and involve step-by-step explanations of concepts followed by practice problems and application of the concepts. The format may include a mix of lecture-style teaching, interactive discussions, different activities, and problem-solving exercises. The content of each lesson will depend on the level of the students and the curriculum being taught. For younger students, I focus more on basic arithmetic and general science principles while for older students, it might include more complex topics like calculus and advanced scientific concepts etc. I always create a supportive and engaging environment that fosters active learning and helps students build confidence in their abilities.

Also, my Maths and Science lessons are structured in a way that helps students to learn complex concepts and theories. The format of these lessons usually involves a brief introduction to the topic, followed by a series of example problems and exercises that teach students how to apply these concepts.

For instance, in Mathematics, lessons often begin with a simple review of fundamental principles and formulas before moving on to more advanced topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, and so on. During these lessons, students are typically asked to work through a series of exercises that build on each other, allowing students to apply what they've learned in a practical way.

However, Science lessons tend to differ slightly in format from maths lessons. Students typically begin by learning about basic scientific concepts, such as the laws of thermodynamics or the properties of matter. They then work through various experiments and exercises designed to reinforce this knowledge. Unlike in maths lessons, science students often need to analyse and interpret data, which helps them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In both Maths and Science lessons, my techniques may vary from student to student; the types of tasks given to students, depending on their level of experience and individual needs etc. Some exercises may be highly structured, whereas others may require more creativity and free expression. Each lesson could be supported by homework (depends on how tight student's schedule is).

Overall, through Maths and Science lessons I provide students with the ability to increase their critical thinking and problem-solving skills they need to succeed academically and beyond. Not only do they learn to apply mathematical and scientific principles to practical problems, but they also develop a deep understanding of these concepts, which can help them in any academic or career discipline they choose to pursue in their future.

Lucy is flexible, friendly and conducts the classes that are tailored for each child's needs and that are easy to understand and follow. She is invested in their learning and development within the subjects and this is evident as my boys have made great progress whilst being with her.
