My lessons are inclusive, utilising visual prompts as well as text. I use PowerPoint with discussion and video to assist understanding, and I produce worksheets for students to support learning.

I have been teaching art and design in Scottish secondary schools for 16 years, and I continue to enjoy art history with students. The world of art history holds so much of interest, from artists' personal experiences to social and political context and it is fulfilling to help students make connections with artists of the past and present. These connections help students to retain information and build on their understanding of the subject. This ultimately leads to confidence in exam preparation and success with exam results.
