I have over 3 years of experience working as a private tutor, and this has allowed me to hone my skills to make sure that I am optimising my lessons to get the best out of my students. As I focus on exam preparation, our lessons will include me teaching content to fill in any knowledge gaps, and then going over past and practice papers and mark schemes to ensure that you know how to answer questions to get the most marks.

I am currently a Medical Student, and I have a previous Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, so my knowledge of the sciences is constantly being kept up to date. I have a great passion for teaching Biology and Chemistry and I hope that my students may become inspired to pursue STEM subjects in higher education.

I always like to start my first lesson by getting to know my students, and asking what they would like to get out of our lessons together. I always have the syllabus for their specific exam board at hand, so I can ensure we are covering every aspect and not missing anything. I like to ask a lot of questions throughout our sessions to gauge the student's understanding of a particular topic.

I understand that preparing for A-levels can be very stressful, so I don't like to set homework outside of our lessons unless it is requested by the student or parent. Homework would most likely be a set of questions that we will then go over in the next session, just to check the student's understanding.
