I achieved a 9 (A*) in all ten of my GCSEs and recently graduated from secondary, so I am currently very familiar with both the curriculum and exam techniques should that be of significance. Previously, I helped a student's grade rise from a 5 to an 8 in mathematics within three months of tutoring.

Usually I teach in-person, however if the commute is impractical for me I am also able to do online lessons. Since I plan my lessons according to a student's needs, they can vary from person to person; typically my first lesson will consist of gauging a student's current ability level and finding learning techniques that are suited to them in order for more effective tutoring. In the following lessons, I provide students with resources in the form of worksheets, PowerPoint presentations and of course in-person tutoring, as well as making use of the student's school-provided resources such as homework, exercise books or online learning gateways.

Since maths is largely application rather than recall, my teaching revolves around understanding more than memorisation. A simple but effective method that I have used with students in the past consists of decomposing a problem and tackling each part separately in order for a greater depth of understanding and as a result a greater ability for application of knowledge. Generalising certain problems, as well as working backwards to find the root of a solution are both also fundamental aspects of the tutoring methods I use.
