Lulu Davies-Orange

Hi, I'm Lulu! I love all manners of puzzles and games. I recently graduated with a 1st Class Honours BSc degree in Mathematics from Durham University, where my final project was on a peculiar class of mathematical objects called matroids. I am well versed in calculus, statistics and topology. I enjoy sharing my love of maths with others.

I have been tutoring secondary school students up until their GCSEs for the past five years, and recently taught the maths content for a Graduate Records Examinations (GRE) test, which is an admissions test widely used by universities abroad. So far, I have conducted over 250 hours of tutoring lessons. I have on occasion taught chemistry, geography, and French at GCSE level. Feedback has suggested that my students feel more confident in their maths ability, and are often more inclined to participate and help their peers in their classes.

I offer a highly personalised service and cater directly to the student. Working methodically through target areas with plenty of examples and detailed discussion of different methods or the theory behind the maths. I will only move on if the student has expressed that they are comfortable enough to do so, and will endeavour to tutor in an interactive and enjoyable manner. I am happy to offer exam and revision tips.
