Having recently studied A-level Maths at Winstanley College, and also achieving a grade 8 in Mathematics at GCSE, I am looking to offer online tutoring to current A-level Maths students to increase their confidence in areas they are struggling with, by using the skills, experience and methods of breaking down difficult questions, I have gained at college.

The sessions would start off by covering the key foundations of the requested topic, filling any knowledge gaps. This would ensure the understanding is established and, as your confidence grows, I would slowly incorporate more difficult past paper questions into the lesson, so that when it comes to the final exams, you will be confident in applying the skills you have learnt, and enable you to secure the grade you want. I would cater the difficulty of the questions throughout the sessions based on the level of your proficiency, thus if you’re struggling with a particular area, we can spend longer working on it so you are confident with the fundamentals before moving on. Or, if you are already very confident in applying your skills to the more basic questions, we can move onto harder questions and push you towards that A/A*, focussing on exam technique to maximise your marks.

The format of the sessions would entail a PowerPoint of a range of different past paper questions focussed on the topic(s) you have requested for to revise/learn beforehand. It would then be over to you to have a good attempt at the question and if you are struggling, I would step in to give you prompts to the next steps or explain the rest of the question to give you the knowledge of the subsequent question.

After the session, you will feel confident and self assured in applying the skills we have just practiced, setting you up for answering similar questions in the final exams.

I am able to accommodate for all exam boards, however AQA would be preferred as they are who I was examined by.
