Experience - I've been a classroom teacher since 2020, teaching all three Sciences.
Qualities - I'm calm, patient, clear and concise in my teaching. Most students when they first came into one of my lessons would say "I hate Science, why do we have to learn this?". Yes I know Science is compulsory, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it; and when you start to observe the content you are studying as part of your everyday life you start to enjoy knowing these things a lot more.
- For example, do you know how the TV can pick up the remote control signal even behind a surface like a cushion or the couch? That's a very small part of Physics.
- Do you know what to put on a Bee sting? and is it the same for a Wasp sting? The answer is no, they both need two completely different neutralisers (Acid or Alkali). That's Chemistry
Teaching methods - I like to make Science as relaxed and enjoyable as possible while still understanding all of the exam's content. I like to do this by breaking the content down into manageable chunks and using memory techniques and mnemonics to help students retain the information as easily as possible. While doing this, my job is to remove any stress and anxiety you might have leading up to your exams and fully prepare you so that the day you walk into your exam, it'll be just another day!
I love doing what I do and helping how I can. So if you need any help, give me a shout.
