Luke Byng-Maddick

Hi, my name is Luke! I'm a first-year university student currently studying Medical Sciences at the University of Exeter. I have a huge passion for biology and science and I want to help others understand these amazing subjects better. My speciality is Biology but I can teach Physics and some Chemistry at a GCSE level as well. At A level I studied Biology, Physics and Geography as well as an EPQ, my grades were A*, A, B and A* respectively. At GCSE I scored 5 nines with the rest of my grades being eights and sevens. With nines in all three of my sciences, maths and business. I will teach online through a Google meeting or Zoom and will use either an online whiteboard or pen and paper with a camera to explain concepts. I want to focus on what you struggle with most so I would ask you to create a list of topics that you don't understand and want to cover. I will then explain these topics and then back up your learning by using exam questions and active discussions to test your knowledge and understanding. I would also encourage you to bring along to the session any exam questions that you have found difficult and I can talk you through them. I can also act as a way to consolidate your learning by going over what you are doing in your lessons or if you wish I can give you an intro to something before you learn it in school. I promise to make all my lessons fun and engaging so you can get the most out of them.
