Hello my name is Luke,
I am a french native living in the UK. Across my years I have lived in 4 different countries and had a very cultured and socialized education in 3 core languages (French, English and Spanish). Having lived in these countries and learning their languages as a citizen in that country, I have a strong advantage educated those on the use, habits and contemporary uses of the languages. While having an advanced academic education in these languages at university (International relations and Modern languages), I believe my strong suit is my understanding of the languages in real social interactions.
I specialize in pronunciation and spoken language, a topic area most language learners struggle in, therefore I hold an advantage over most tutors. I have also had limited but successful experience tutoring GCSE students and primary school students. In Brighton, I did private classes with GCSE students and in Colchester, I had experience teaching in front of a class at Queen Boudica Primary School.
As my classes focus on the language as a social and living product of human interaction, I focus a lot on in person classes and face-to-face interaction. This is a key feature that schools do not often provide and other tutors often fail to fully cover. I also tend to engage in conversations in contemporary issues, culture, music and more so that speaking a foreign language is engaging to the student rather than tiresome.
