There's nothing more important to finally understanding a topic for a student than to adapt the material to the student. I don't just want you to finish the homework, I want you to be able to explain it to your peers and do it confidently! I want to build your abilities and your knowledge up, and I want you to be totally satisfied whilst doing it! That's why I take into consideration everything from your background to your situation where you're studying; it's important to know how things are going before you hire me.

I've taught many sub topics in maths and physics, from trigonometry to advanced calculus and mechanics, and each student has walked away satisfied and confident in their abilities. I start with a quick review of what your last week was in maths, then we talk a little about what you want to work on, and then depending on how much development we need, we either do some practical problem solving or we try to build the base concepts up.
