Lucy Tyrrell

I'm a university student studying Applied Mathematics and Physics with a passion for both subjects. I understand the difficulty of these subjects having studied the CCEA curriculum at both GCSE and A Level and know what it takes to succeed having achieved A* grades in both subjects at A Level and GCSE.

I'm a very patient and understanding tutor who understands the best learning approach for any student. I believe it's possible for anyone to improve their academics and I'm always happy to aid students in working to their full potential.

I always try to really get to know my students and their unique struggles so we can plan what to focus on while making sure we cover the curriculum to the exam board's specification standards. I will ensure my students really understand the content rather than just learn it and will try my best to encourage a genuine interest in the material and pass on my passion for both mathematics and physics. I will ensure students are well prepared for exams by doing plenty of past paper questions while also keeping the learning engaging with lots of discussion.

The focus of each lesson will be the student and anything they're particularly struggling with that day. No question is silly and I encourage students to ask anything about the content we are covering to ensure they have no gaps in their knowledge.

I have enjoyed helping every student in my over 100 hours tutoring experience and am eager to continue in helping students do their best.
