I have experience tutoring maths online and in person to students up to and including A Level standard. I place emphasis on practicing questions in the lesson and encouraging my students so they gain confidence to tackle the questions with independence. I am patient and friendly and like to foster a good relationship with students so that they actually enjoy and look forward to lessons, while also making significant and measurable progress with every session. I also make sure to keep parents up to date with a lesson report after every lesson so that they can keep track of their child's progress. I firmly believe that understanding is the key to success so while I do teach exam technique and give tips in that respect, my main focus is making sure students understand the topic fully before worrying about memorising markschemes.
