I have over 8 years secondary school teaching experience, some in England and some in Scotland. I have taught GCSE, National 5, and Higher and am an exam marker.

10+ years tutoring experience up to A Level and equivalent both in England and Scotland.

I have been a huge maths fan from a young age and have always been keen to teach and share as much as I can.

My focus is always on students understanding how maths works rather than just remembering formulas. This reduces revision needed and helps students succeed in problem solving.
Maths gets a bad reputation but with the right methods focusing on understanding rather than learning tricks, it can become something that just makes sense. Once it makes sense it hard to forget.



I am passionate about teaching and pride myself on finding the right method and explanation for each student, listening to their needs and ways of thinking and supporting them to understand mathematics is a way that suits them.
I'm considered an excellent teacher and am known for having great relationships with my students allowing them to feel safe and comfortable to be honest about their difficulties in mathematics, I listen and will work with you. Maths can seem incredibly daunting, but if its broken down and explained well it can very quickly make sense.
