I have 3 years of tutoring experience now. My students have been of all different abilities and learning styles and all have excelled, with some even being in medical school now. A typical lesson will be structured as follows: a recap of the previous lesson, a brainstorm of existing knowledge on the topic of the lesson, and then following content delivery, working through exam questions and comparing answers to the mark scheme. I believe in individually tailored lessons, listening to the student and adapting and shaping the lesson to best meet their needs and learning style. I have worked with visual learners, rote learners and those who learn through exam questions and mark schemes. I have a whole range of resources up my sleeve and will use the ones that best fit my student. I have straight 8’ and 9’s and GCSE, straight A*’s at A level, and I am currently working at f first in my degree at St Andrews. You will be in good hands with me- we’ll get you to where you want to be.
