I am a patient, kind, fun and engaging person with a great sense of humour and a strong set of skills across teaching and languages. Able to build rapport and trust with students of all ages, backgrounds and competencies, I have a proven track record of increasing students' overall comprehension, level of skill and understanding across all aspects of the French language. I use a wide range of topical resource materials from official teaching websites, the school curricula and additional up to date resources to make each lesson interesting and useful. I get on very well with my students and enable them to be open with me about their struggles and difficulties with the language - being led by this, I am able to tailor each lesson to guide them towards a better understanding and ability. With an up to date knowledge of how French has evolved over the past few years, I pride myself on being able to provide students with both everyday/conversational French skills in addition to academic/textbook French which is needed to pass examinations successfully. I enjoy giving students a newfound love and respect for the French language, teaching them about the overall culture of the country in addition to other French-speaking countries and cultures (les pays francophones). My lessons encompass speaking, listening, reading and writing to maximise understanding and skill; through setting and marking homework assignments, often asking students to teach me something they've struggled with to ensure full comprehension of the grammar point or pronunciation.
