I teach both GCSE English Language and ESOL over Google Meet, although can use other platforms such as Skype or Zoom. The sessions are usually 60 minutes. For GCSE its a mix of reading and writing skills and plenty of past papers. I quite often share a document on screen, so that we can discuss it together and the student can write in the chat. I can email the materials to the student before the lesson. I can also set homework, mark it and give feedback pointing out how a student can improve their grade, for example, how to get from grade 3 to a grade 4. For ESOL its mainly speaking and listening activities, but I can also do reading and writing as required.

All lessons are student centred, with plenty of opportunities for the student ask questions and have input into the lesson. The lessons are tailored made for each students' learning requirements. Where possible, I try to make lessons fun, interactive and engaging.
