About me

I am an author/Illustrator. I am also new, please bear with me.

The lessons will be online and personalized to the student I will be working with. I can offer one off lessons, or I can collaborate with the parent/guardian to create multiple lessons to explore a topic more thoroughly, once a week, for a set time (depending on the subject).
If you would like to help your child catch up on an art topic they may have missed in school, this is potentially doable, as long as you understand I have no access to the teachers lesson plans (unless you can provide them) and will only be able to teach what I know and can find out myself.

Subjects I teach include: Art composition, Colour theory, Light and shadow, Basics of art history, Basics of shape theory, Background/foreground/middle-ground, Basic character design, Working with Watercolour, Working with Acrylic paint, Working with pencils and Working with Watercolour pencils.

When teaching traditional art such as watercolour, I will be unable to provide the equipment, you will have to buy that for you child at your own expense. I am willing to provide a list and accommodate the lesson to your budget (as I know art supplies can get expensive).

Full disclosure: I have received no formal teacher training, however I have been working as a volunteer classroom assistant in a primary school on and off for three years now and have worked one on one with students on the autism spectrum. During this time, I have taught at least three (to my memory) art lessons to the class as well as assisted teaching basic stitching and knitting.

I am by no means a professional but I am patient and willing to teach slowly and calmly if that is what I think your child needs to learn the subject. In such cases I am willing arrange to lower the price of my lessons as I understand everyone learns at different speeds. (Do not, however, use this as an excuse to demand I teach anywhere under £30 an hour or for free, exposure doesn't put food on the table.)

Lastly to all parents/guardians reading this: please, PLEASE be very careful who you choose to teach your child. From my experience so far, this platform is very easy to set up an account for and there are a lot of nasty people on the internet who might take advantage of your children. Stay safe.

If you have any additional questions please email me.
I cannot guarantee I will answer if you call me.
