I am currently a first-year vet student at the University of Liverpool. I previously sat my A-level examinations, being the first year to sit the proper examinations since the pandemic. I received an A* in biology and three A's in chemistry, maths and an EPQ. During year 13 I completed a tutoring program, tutoring two year 13 students for their end-of-year mock exams. Both were D-level students and, by the end of the year, both were working at an A* level and received A's in their mock exams.
During my sessions we would go through the material that tutees were struggling with, consolidating this using past exam questions and mini-quizzes. To work through the content of exams I have booklets of information, including past notes, that are e-copies that individuals can use to further understand the content as well as PowerPoint and you-tube resources. As a past A-level student I have an abundance of revision material, alongside many recommendable resources for individuals to use in their independent revision.
I am a very friendly and approachable person, no homework is set only recommended questions to complete that can then be talked through at the start of every session. A unique plan can be set out for you in order to tailor your work to the level you need and to focus on the areas you struggle in most, whilst fitting around the busy life of a student. I understand how much work is put into A-levels and how important it is to have a social life alongside your studies, so I will not overload you with work to do in your own time (only recommend certain things you can do you help bring your marks higher by the end of the year)!!
