Lucy Cotillon

Detail-oriented and enthusiastic History graduate with a genuine passion for teaching, committed to supporting children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities by creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment conducive to students reaching their full potential. I work both in person and online, and adopt a student-centred approach which prioritises the needs of each pupil based on individual preferences and abilities. Able to work around different schedules and provide a lot of flexibility with my work. I can commute to student's homes, work online or in a public space such as a coffee shop or library. I am friendly, supportive, passionate and engaging, and will endeavour to make the learning experience as enjoyable and positive as possible. Able to suit all individual needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I speak multiple languages, and have extensive experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures, thus putting me in an ideal position to work with students for whom English is not their first language. I can tutor in English language and literature, history, geography, social sciences, French, economics and many more subjects! I have classroom experience and am able to manage 30+ pupils and a heavy workload, whilst making sure to prioritise the individual needs of each and every pupil. I have guided students to successful GCSE and IELTS outcomes, and have continued to have a positive professional relationship with all my students.
