I have experience in tutoring A-level English and preparing students for their A-level exams. These sessions included creating tasks to improve assessments and writing styles as well as giving constructive feedback for students to apply to their own work. My lessons will be online and will include setting tasks to work on in sessions and to work on outside of sessions to then return to when we next meet online to track improvement. I will set questions to answer and help students to plan their answers and essays whilst also helping them to complete structured responses in timed conditions. This will help them to make prepare for their own exams so that they can remember certain structures or tips they have learnt through sessions. I hope to put students at ease, as I have been through the process of exams and can relate to certain stresses and pressures, so I aim to create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in my sessions for students. I also help students with revision methods offering a range of options to see what will best suit them and their progress in English, both language and literature. My experience ranges from A-level to primary school learning in English meaning I can tailor sessions to the level of the students learning such as creating different plans or settings targets for students to work towards like completing a successful timed essay or being able to identify certain linguistic techniques like sentence structures or creative terms. Due to these lessons being held online, the format will take place on zoom or teams and will involve platforms like Microsoft or Google depending on what the students can access online.
