Lessons will always begin with a starter which could either be short answer questions or a quiz. This “warms up” our thinking ready for the lesson and aims to get the best out of the session.
Lessons consist of a mixture of talking and independent activities. Independent activities are practice based with worksheets, quizzes, booklets and exam style questions building the foundations towards answering higher level questions with confidence. Through the completion of different activities, areas of focus and improvement can be identified where 1:1 teaching can then take place. Note taking is kept to the minimum and taken to be used as referral points to support question answering.
Students will have access to their own google drive folder with full access to all resources. The use of google drive enables instant feedback both verbally and through written comments.
Students can also upload their own resources they may want to focus on within a lesson. Activities can vary depending on the students needs.
