Hello! Thank you for expressing interest in learning English with me. To be honest, I am quite new to this too! This will be a journey for both of us but one that I will work hard to ensure we both enjoy.

No two students are the same. With this in mind, my lessons will be structured but adaptable-depending on how you like to learn. The first meeting will be to get to know each other and establish the learning techniques that we both feel will work best for you. I will then work hard to tailor a lesson plan that will suit you.

I like to make sure each lesson is simple yet effective. For each lesson there will be a clear objective at the start and we will track our progress with these objectives as we go. By the end of the lesson the objective will be reached. It is my job to ensure that the objective set is attainable for the level of each student. If there is something specific that the student is struggling with, we will just spend more time on it in the next lesson until the student is comfortable.

Each lesson usually consists of a warm up exercise to start with and then a questionnaire which may include visual aids etc. It will be relaxed and conversational as opposed to exam style. Then we may observe a video excerpt and have a discussion based on extractions from that.

As previously mentioned, no two students learn the same way so the lessons will adapt according to the needs of the student.
