I am an undergraduate student from Barcelona living in London. I enjoy reading, taking walks and discovering new places around the city. I have taught English and Spanish as a freelance tutor and a volunteer for three years now and I am looking forward to finding new students. I tend to focus mostly on languages since it is what I know best but can also aid children with different subjects and help them understand and be interested in their studies.
I have taught both children and adults for the past 3 years and have dealt with people from different nationalities. I encourage practice mostly, using reading and speaking as a way to learn in a fluent manner. I am also happy to teach in a more academic way and have done so as well in the past. I am able to teach the culture through the language for those looking for a more organic way to speak Spanish. I like to set goals for my students depending on what outcome they want and help them work towards it. I also enjoy making up games and activities for my younger students to involve them in the learning process and spark their interest. I believe the most important part of learning a language is to be comfortable with making mistakes and messing up, I encourage students to do so with me, to not be ashamed of not knowing or of trying. I like to build trust with them and make classes something to look forward to.
