I am keen for my lessons to focus on the individual because I am aware that every student learns differently and at a different pace. I want to make a warm and comfortable environment so that you can feel confident in asking questions and developing your ideas. I have taught students English through a literacy placement and I have completely a degree in English and film. Through my experience I have gained knowledge in how to assist students one to one and helped them access new ideas. I can help you with your language skills, practicing spoken English while also looking at grammar, spelling and punctuation. Following on from this I can also help you with any English literature concerns that you may have. If you are struggling with a chosen text then we can look at it together or if you just need extra support with any book or poem then you are more than welcome to bring that to the lessons as well. My aim is to let the lessons be mainly student lead so if you want to discuss anything that you may be looking at during your school or exams then you can always alert me to it. But if you also want general assistance I am happy to provide texts for us to look at and explore further. I will be mainly based online so will use PowerPoint to conduct my lessons which you can follow along and I will also bring a copy of any text you wish to look at.
