I began teaching in two SEN school’s in Bristol alongside tutoring students privately and working for Bristol Creative Youth Network as a youth worker. My tutoring experience includes supporting English Literature and Language and Humanities students at GCSE and A Level. Some of my students had clear gaps in their understanding of the content, and struggled with essay writing and exam technique. Through comprehensive and achievable learning plans, I was able to help students hone their essay writing skills while developing their confidence in exam technique and deepening their knowledge of the subject. It was extremely rewarding to see them go on to achieve their desired grades which enabled them to continue on to further study in their chosen fields. I have since moved to Spain and become an EFL teacher in a secondary school (Rambla De Nogalte, Murcia) and an Escuela Oficiale de Idiomas (EOI), Lorca. Throughout this time I have been planning and delivering English lessons to students ranging from A2-C1. Last summer (2024), I returned home and worked as an English teacher for Embassy Summer School in Oxford. This entailed delivering intensive English Language courses to international students. This experience enhanced my ability to teach dynamically and respond to the challenges of teaching a diverse range of students, while maintaining a cohesive learning environment.
I currently work at CEIP Plurilingüe de San Roque and CEIP Plurilingüe San Bartolomè in Galicia, Spain.
