At GCSE, I achieved 9s across the board (Maths, English Lit/Lang, Triple Science, Spanish and Geography) with a L2D* in Business Studies. Similarly, at A Level I got 3 A*s in Maths, Chem and Bio. I am currently studying Biosciences and Chemistry in Bsc Natural Sciences at Durham University.

My goal as your tutor will be to make sure you have a solid understanding of your subject and are able to use that understanding to answer more complicated and challenging questions with confidence, intuition and logical reasoning. I will be teaching only Maths, Chemistry and Biology as they are my most solid subjects, and as your tutor it is vital that I can trust every word that I say, as to be as useful to you as possible.

A lot of my lessons will be focused on answering exam questions, using them as a diagnostic tool for us to determine where your energy is best focused when it comes to improving as a student. This will include both you doing questions on your own during a session, with me there to help, and me explaining how I would answer questions in front of you during a session. After determining where your weak areas are, I will explain the topics to you and we can again go over some exam questions, to look for improvements, and then further address any areas which are still a struggle.

Whilst having knowledge about a subject is no doubt important, I firmly believe that understanding and an ability to intuit answers is what is most important. To be able to feel a connection with what you are writing, rather than just using rote learnt answers, is vital for success.

As a student who has excelled in my subjects, I am confident that I will be able to pass on my thought processes and exam techniques to you, for you to use to achieve the grades you deserve.
