¡Hola! My name is Lourdes and I'm a Literary, Technical and Scientific English<>Spanish translator. I have always had a love for languages so that is why I love my work as a translator but also as a teacher because I want more people to fall in love with English and Spanish as I did when I was young. I believe that each class should be customized to fit each student's needs. We can focus on making your conversation more fluid, improving your listening or pronunciation skills, reading comprehension and/or any other area you find particularly challenging about Spanish. It is also important to take into consideration what you need Spanish for, as this will help us decide what to focus on and how to take the most advantage out of the lessons. It's not the same to learn Spanish as a hobby as it is for travelling, work or academic purposes.
If the student wanted to, we could also learn and discuss Spain's and Latin America's culture, history and customs, to make the lessons more entertaining and knowledge-nourishing. There is a lot to learn and discuss and this would make the lessons more entertaining.
If you have already been in contact with Spanish then we could chat and decide what you liked about it, what you did not and what you found more difficult to try and make it easier this time. I know Spanish may seem really difficult, but that is also one of its charms. Please do write to me so that we can discuss the lessons in more detail!
