I will use an assessment, ongoing observation and any information or data that you can provide from your child’s school to inform the content and focus of my planning. In this way I will ensure that we maximise the learning time with teaching that is tailored to your child’s individual needs and really target those areas where your child most needs to make progress.

I have many years of experience working with children with a diverse range of backgrounds, needs, interests and strengths. I can help children who have misconceptions and gaps in their learning, but equally push on those children who are already attaining well and support them to excel and achieve mastery. I have taught many months of whole class teaching on Zoom.

I use activities that are engaging and make learning purposeful, challenging and fun. Furthermore, I adapt the style and structure of the teaching presentation and learning tasks to best suit the needs of the individual. I will keep track of progress to inform subsequent lessons and give regular feedback. I have high expectations for behaviour and academic progress and believe in promoting independence and supporting every learner to achieve their full potential.

I can support learning in any area of the Primary Curriculum and up to A-level in French. My previous post was at a leading British school in Asia and I have now returned to the UK where I am working in schools as a tutor for the National Tutoring Programme.
