Louise Clapham

Hi! I’m Louise, I am a qualified science teacher with 12+ years teaching science to student age 11+. I am a biology specialist with additional qualifications in teaching both chemistry and physics at KS3 (11-14) and KS4 (14+ GCSE). I am passionate about teaching science, with a particular interest in the science of how we learn. The science curriculum is a foundation of knowledge for understanding the world around us and I use evidence-based practice to deliver knowledge to my students those challenges and excites. My lessons are a safe place to ask questions and learn from mistakes. Recall of knowledge is core to success and so my lessons focus on the teaching and recall of facts. I use a range of resources such as a visualiser (for online classes, so that you can see my explanations), Kahoot! Quizzes for recall and exam questions to ensure you can use your new knowledge in a range of situations.
