I'm have an easy going but determined and motivating approach to everything. I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others to learn new skills, my style of delivery can be attributed to a coaching style. I'm happy to be flexible and adaptable.
Previously I have worked extensively with people who have varying barriers, vulnerabilities and complex situations. I have personal experience of emigrating multiple times and having experienced cultural and language differences allowed me to develop exceptional understanding, ability to adapt and communicate on all levels. During my time living in Germany, I immersed myself into German society and culture where I acquired fluent German language skills both written and verbally, equivalent to native standard. I am a highly motivated, have a BA (Hons) Youth Work and Community Development, MSc Psychology and Learning Disabilities. Currently I am completing a Professional Doctorate in Community Social Care Policy and Practice. I have also completed an additional six Level 7 modules in topics related to Social Research.
Over the years I have gathered extensive experience working with people of all ages gaining many skills in various roles. This has given me the knowledge of how to be an effective mentor. As a Care Manager I was responsible for managing 35+ Carer’s, previously I was a Careers Practitioner in a male category C prison based in London. The time I have spent working in prison and other sectors allowed me to develop excellent conflict resolution and negotiating skills. I spent many years in various roles in Employment Services followed by Disability and Mental Health services.
