My educational philosophy is to start simple, then encourage a deeper understanding. I don’t overwhelm my students with fancy software packages or complex user interfaces. I will use the most straightforward and accessible tools available.

My approach is discussion lead, I will try to draw existing skills and knowledge from my students and encourage them to develop their own problem solving and critical thinking skills. My tutoring style is talk with my students, not at my students.

My services are not restricted to school students, I have worked with many adult learners over the years.

My niche as a teacher is in supporting very under-confident students, who have felt let down by their previous education. I have a solid set of strategies to help students who may not be fully prepared for an upcoming exam.

However, it is important to engage with tuition sooner rather than later. If a student has a solid foundation early in a subject and has a good set of critical thinking skills: Then hopefully my services will not longer be required. In other words: if I can support you early on, then you won’t need me later!
