Hi, I'm Louis! I am studying French and Philosophy at the University of Oxford, which I really love and I want to share my passion with my students. I recently spent a year on exchange studying at Sorbonne University in Paris so I know how French is spoken both colloquially and in more formal contexts.
I have two years experience tutoring English and French through various platforms and summer camps, during which I've had the chance to meet and work with so many different and interesting students. Getting to know them and helping them with their goals is what I love most about tutoring.
I communicate thoroughly with all my clients so you get exactly the help you need. Often, I work from past papers to help students improve their technique and identify weaker areas. This is always supplemented with careful explanations and diligent revision of key areas and points of grammar. New vocabulary is not only learnt in my sessions, it is also activated by being included in subsequent exercises so that all my students are confident and supported.
I am flexible to the needs of all my clients and can help with those learning French for their own benefit as well as within a school environment. I have particular experience working with students preparing for:
ISEB (Common Entrance 13+),
AQA (GCSE and A-Level),
Pearson/ Edexcel (GCSE and A-Level),
WJEC (GCSE and A Level), and
Cambridge (IGCSE and A-Level).
I am looking for long-term clients as well as those who only need help for an upcoming exam and I can always be flexible with how regular sessions are.
