My lessons would be tailored around each students needs, abilities and learning methods.
In my experience the best way to learn a language is through practice and experience. For instance if a student wishes to improve his oral abilities, I would create speaking based exercises that they can practice in their own time but also engage in conversation exercises with them and provide real time feedback so that they get a better understanding of how the language works.
For written french I can provide dictations, grammar and conjugation exercises that can help them with their spelling and mastery of the french language. I can also provide texts for them to read or listen for their comprehension skills.
Each student is different and their methods of learning as well, I would work with the student to find the method that works best for them.
