How do you learn a language? By using it!

English is a language that's easy to master even without knowing all the ins and outs of the grammar rules. Instead, you need to practice enough to simply get a feeling it. That's why our tutoring sessions will mostly be focused on us having conversations about all kinds of topics, and me providing you with detailed feedback on homework assignments. Don't expect boring fill-in exercises, tough! Homework will consist of watching movies, writing reviews, listening to music, preparing presentations, and more.

If you're interested to know a little bit more about my background: I started learning English at the age of 9 (my native language is Dutch) and have been using English every single day since I was 11. Both my secondary school and university taught fully in English, my job is in English, my partner is English - in other words, plenty of experience! I have also recently obtained my TEFL level 5 certification, which is a qualification recognised worldwide to 'Teach English as a Foreign Language'. No matter your current abilities in English, I will do my utmost best to help you improve.

In case of any further questions, do not hestitate to ask. I personally love diving into grammar rules, so if that's what you're after, I am also able to help you become a grammar expert. I've just noticed that most people would like to avoid grammar as much as possible. ;)

Lessons will initially take place online, but I'm open to meeting up for in-person tutoring once we get to know each other!
