Hello! I have a passion for working with children and young people in aiming to help build confidence through language and literacy. I have also recently graduated with an MA in English and History with Professional Education. Should you be someone who already enjoys engaging with the subject or someone who has always found literacy a struggle, I would love to help. From the first lesson we start with an informal assessment of the areas of literacy and/or the English curriculum that you are following at school, to establish where you feel most and least confident. We then work together to identify expectations and objectives for each lesson that are led by you with my support. We will use a wide range of interesting and engaging reading materials and other resources from a wide range of media that most interest you, to build your skills and confidence in all aspects of literacy. Whether you are looking to improve your writing, reading or comprehension skills, we will work one-on-one to evolve and improve your current level of learning at a pace you are comfortable with, and I will facilitate regular formal and information assessments, using a wide range of resources, for you to be able to see your progression and further build both your skill set and your confidence.
