From my lessons, you can expect lots of interactive activities and discussions! I aim to build a good relationship with my students in order to build their confidence. I encourage students to demonstrate their thought process using whiteboards so that I can understand how they interpret information. I love to use graphics and pictures to keep students engaged, and from experience using highlighters on texts always makes them more engaging.

I have experience teaching highly ambitious students who want to achieve top grades, as well as students who want some extra support. All lessons will be fully personalised based on the child’s individual needs. I always provide feedback to the parents and child so we can be clear on what is working and what we need to improve.

I am passionate about all areas of literature and language including: poetry, drama, classical texts, modern literature and creative writing. I aim to use my effervescence and passion for the subject to inspire students to reach their maximum potential. I understand that English may be hard for some students, however I truly believe that with the right tools, every child can reach their goals.

I take pride in my work and enjoy marking my students homework and extra practise. Workload away from lessons will be discussed before it is set to ensure students are not getting burnt out, but are still maintaining good practise!! Practise makes progress, and I encourage students to reflect on their progress.
